• DB Detox is Prescience Technology's flagship offering and combines all of the best features of our other database services.  DB Detox will review and report on all aspects of how clients maintain their Oracle systems.

• In a busy database and application environment, DBA's, system administrators and system support teams are often inundated with operational tasks. DB Decorum will review the processes and procedures with which clients operate on a day-to-day, business-as-usual basis.

• Prescience Technology is reknowned for its placement of highly trained and qualified Oracle technology Search and Rescue "Seals" to assist clients in troubleshooting complex technical issues. These issues are often encountered:
  • during an upgrade or implementation process (hardware or software)
  • when a system is experiencing increased load

Prescience Technology's DB Search and Rescue "SEAL" will work closely with the client to:

DB ZOOM
DB Zoom is a service we provide to clients who are experiencing database and application performance issues.  We will initially perform an on-site assessment of the poorly performing system, and will address such areas as the following: 

• SQL performance;
  • Top 10 poorly-performing statements.
  • Top 10 most used statements. 
  • Indexes, use or need for partitioning, parallel processing. 
  • Use of statistics.
    
• Oracle System behaviour - e.g. OLTP transaction throughput, DSS report submissions
  
• Overall System behaviour - what other applications are run on the hardware or against the database
  
• CPU usage;
  • Which processes are using the most CPU
  • Which Oracle processes/threads are consuming the most CPU
