Working at Prescience
The discipline of great project delivery is at the core of everything we do. That means we emphasise collaboration, open communication, delivery excellence and sustainable outcomes.
We asked some of our employees to share their experience of working at Prescience. Here’s what they had to say:
Jozef Hlavaty - Oracle Technical ConsultantPrescience has clear goals and drive - it’s big on passion, expertise and goal setting. Prescience certainly encourages their employees to grow and there’s training available should I need it, which is good.Prescience has clear goals and drive - it’s big on passion, expertise and goal setting. Even though we’re spread across the country, Prescience feels like a family. It’s a good company to work for if you are looking for stable employment with opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.
Ryan Ellis - Primavera SchedulerI’d been following Prescience Technology for a little while before I joined them - they really seemed to be a company going places. And we are!
I like the fact that it’s a boutique consultancy, not a big, run-of-the mill consultancy. It’s got a bit of an edge, and our offering is tailored to the market we serve. It’s flexible and very focused on meeting the needs of the clients.
I’m really glad I’m here - I’m working as a Primavera Scheduler on an interesting, challenging project with a great client. I feel like there are good career development opportunities for me as the company is growing.
Karen Smith - Project Co-ordinatorI really like the supportive family atmosphere at Prescience. While we have structure and certain ways of doing things, it isn’t bureaucratic. If you need something to do your job well, or need to bring an issue to someone’s attention, you are listened to.
I also value the flexibility - I’m an early morning person and I loathe getting stuck in traffic. So I work slightly different hours from most of the team and head home a bit earlier. I don’t feel like I’m in a kindergarten – I’m trusted to do my hours whether in the office or at home.
It’s a great place to work, and as I often say to my colleagues, it’s not just Loretta’s company – it’s ours too. When we’re successful, we open other opportunities for us and not just for Prescience.
Anneline van Staden - Project AdministratorPrescience is an organisation that has successfully grown each year since I've started with the company, both in size and people. I believe its success is due to being adaptable, supportive and recognising individuals for their passion and ambition.
Prescience encourages us to grow and challenge ourselves by setting audacious goals. We are in it as a team, as a professional family almost, which is why I love working here.
Gill Woodman - HR AdministratorI am proud to have been involved with Prescience Technology almost from the beginning. My role has evolved over the five years I have been with the company and is currently a mix of HR Administration and business support, which means I get a broad overview of what’s happening across the business.
I believe Prescience is well-positioned as a specialised Oracle and Primavera service provider and project and change management consultancy. Our values really do drive our business operations and I really like how we are growing both our services and our people.
Prescience truly is a viable alternative to bigger corporate consultancies. Working here is a great challenge, but it’s also really rewarding. There’s a part of me that always thinks of ‘we’ when I think of Prescience.
